70th Anniversary of D-Day
It's was my second time back to Normandy to mark the anniversary of D-Day and I'm always honoured to meet such generous and amazing people. The WWII veterans and their incredible stories of personal survival are always inspiring. The museums and beaches brings the past alive. As a history buff I just wish I had more time to soak it all up. The thousands of families and school children who visit Normandy reminds me of how a conflict so long ago still touches lives. But it is the outpouring of affection from the local people of Normandy that I think is the most moving.
